Distribution & Habitat:
Pachypodium lamerei is a native of Southern Madagascar.

Culture:
Pachypodium lamerei needs full sun to light shade with warm temperatures. It requires excellent drainage and should be kept moist but not wet during the growing season. In winter it should not be watered at all.
The best way is to wrap several layers of newspaper around the trunk where it is to be handled.

Description:
This tree-like succulent, Pachypodium lamerei, with a spiny, pale green stem and crowned with linear leaves is a must in every garden. Eventually it will grow to a height of 4 metres and has fragrant, creamy white flowers.
An unusual and very attractive feature plant which also keeps well as a pot plant.
